Does each English grind cover the same topic?

No — we have multiple English Grinds per week covering different topics. Paper 1 is covered every Sunday and Paper 2 every Wednesday. All lessons are available to rewatch if you cannot attend the live session.

Can I ask my English teacher questions?

Yes. In our live and interactive English grinds you can ask questions via the chat feature on the stream. You can also submit questions to your teacher through the platform at any time and they will respond.

How many poets should I study for Leaving Cert English?

We recommend studying 5 poets to ensure you are able to answer a question on a poet on exam day. Grinds360 provides notes and video lessons on all prescribed poets including Seamus Heaney and Paula Meehan.

What is included in the Leaving Cert English Grinds membership?

What topics are covered in Leaving Cert English Paper 1?

Leaving Cert English Paper 1 consists of Comprehension (reading texts and answering questions) and Composition (essay writing). Our grinds cover all composition types including personal essay, discursive essay, short story, speech and article, using the PCLM marking scheme framework.

What topics are covered in Leaving Cert English Paper 2?

Leaving Cert English Paper 2 covers four sections: the Single Text (studied drama or novel such as Macbeth), the Comparative Study (comparing three texts across modes), Prescribed Poetry (studied poets), and Unseen Poetry. Our grinds cover every section in detail.
